OPELOUSAS -- The Sacred Heart Lady Trojans did what they needed to in order to stay in the Division IV top 10 power rating as they rolled past district rival Opelousas Catholic 10-3 Thursday afternoon. With the win Sacred Heart improves to 9-5 on the season and 3-1 in district play.

PINE PRAIRIE -- The Pine Prairie Lady Panthers made a statement that they are a team to contend with in District 5-3A as they eased past the Mamou Lady Demons 6-5 Monday afternoon. This was the second time that the Lady Panthers have defeated the Lady Demons over the course of five days.

CROWLEY-- The Mamou Lady Demons kept their district title hopes alive Tuesday afternoon when they took down title contender Crowley High 8-1 on the road. With the win, Mamou improves to 13-6 on the year and 7-2 in league play. The Lady Demons host Eunice today in another key district game.

MAMOU -- Coming into their key district showdown with Pine Prairie, the Mamou Lady Demons were sporting a perfect record in league play. That perfect record does not exist anymore, as the Lady Panthers eased past Mamou for a huge 5-2 win.

Big inning propels Sacred Heart past South Beauregard

VILLE PLATTE -- A three-run fifth inning propelled the Sacred Heart Trojans past the South Beauregard Knights in a 4-2 non-district win Thursday afternoon. Sacred Heart moves to 8-9-1 with the win. The Trojans will travel to St. Ed’s tomorrow for a showdown with the Blue Jays.
