By: TONY MARKS Editor VILLE PLATTE - With 9:04 remaining in the second quarter, and with Church Point leading Ville Platte High 14-0, shots erupted from outside Bulldog Stadium causing the remainder of the game to be cancelled.

According to the Acadia Parish Superintendent of Education, the Iota football game previously scheduled to be played at Ville Platte High will now be played in Iota. The change of venue comes after the fatal shooting that interrupted Ville Platte’s homecoming game against Church Point.
