Inner Game Jiu-Jitsu took six competitors to a tournament at Gladiators Academy in Youngsville. The group ended the tournament with 12 wins and 3 losses in 15 matches and received three gold medals and two silver medals.

Storm debris is cleared

Ceremony is held honoring Darwan Lazard

A ceremony marking three milestones was held Friday, June 26, at the Ville Platte Civic Center. The ceremony was held to honor Reverend Darwan Lazard for his birthday, his retirement as Evangeline Parish Superintendent of Schools, and his reception of an honorary doctorate degree.

Sweeties head to state

The Pine Prairie Sweetees 6U team earned a 1st-place finish in the District Tournament, securing their spot in the Louisiana State Tournament in Alexandria. The girls will begin State Tournament play on July 10.
