Mamou Elementary 4-H students collect items for food drive

The Mamou Elementary School 4th Club collected canned goods for the Food for Families food drive held December 7. Students and their families provided well over 2,000 nonperishable goods. These items were brought to St. Ann’s Catholic Church to help the local community.

For the first time in two years because of the pandemic, the parade returned as part of the events surrounding the annual Veterans Day observance in Mamou. The parade began at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, and rolled down famed 6th Street toward the American Legion Hall.
