VPHS game is cancelled

The Ville Platte football game scheduled for Friday, September 10, has been cancelled. The Bulldogs forfeited as a result of COVID-19. All other Evangeline Parish football games (Sacred Heart vs Marksville, Pine Prairie vs Elton, Mamou vs Grant, and Basile vs St. Ed's) are still set to take place.

SECRETARY OF STATE ARDOIN ANNOUNCES RESCHEDULING OF FALL 2021 ELECTIONS

Sheriff’s Off. searches for missing juvenile

On September 4, 2021, at approximately 7:45 A.M, the Evangeline parish sheriff’s office received a report of a juvenile runaway missing from the Eunice and Basile area. The 15 year old child was last seen at the 1100 Blk. of Community Loop in the unincorporated area of Evangeline Parish.

19-Year-Old Oakdale Man Dies in Fiery Crash in Evangeline Parish

Evangeline Parish – On September 7, 2021, shortly before 8:00 a.m., Louisiana State Police Troop I responded to a two-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 106 east of Paradise Lane in Evangeline Parish. The crash claimed the life of 19-year-old Luke A. Fontenot of Oakdale.
