Several narcotics stops are made in Turkey Creek

Officers with the Turkey Creek Police Department, on November 30, were conducting traffic control on US Hwy 167 when they observed a silver SUV have a minor traffic violation. Officers then conducted a traffic stop and made contact with Elvir Perez of Shreveport.

Pine Prairie police chief questions amount of raise

A proposed raise for the chief of police in Pine Prairie was bumped for a later date after Chief L.C. Deshotel questioned the amount of the raise. During the meeting of the Pine Prairie Village Council on Thursday, December 9, Mayor Quint West brought the matter before the council.

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported the following recent bookings into the parish jail. Arrested were the following persons: • Christina Hartzfield, 41, Ville Platte, was arrested December 5, 2021, by the Pine Prairie Police Department for failure to appear for court.

EUNICE – By all accounts, LSU Eunice sophomore guard Isaiah Payne is a man of few words. Those who weren’t aware of his prep career at Pine Prairie probably hadn’t even heard of him before last year, when the 6-3, 175-pounder was a first-team all-conference selection after averaging 17.
