BURGLARY ON BEAVER RD

On December 30, 2021, at approximately 1957 hours, it was reported to the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office that a burglary occurred at the 5400 Blk. of Beaver Rd. During the investigation, it was learned that the suspects had stolen multiple lawn and farm equipment items from that location.

During a special meeting held at 12 noon on Friday, January 7, Judge John Larry Vidrine swore Christina Sam in as the newest member of the Ville Platte City Council. Sam is filling the vacancy left by the death of her husband and District E council member Donald Sam.

A torch was passed as the Evangeline Parish Police Jury selected Bryan Vidrine to replace Ryan “LeDay” Williams as president for the fiscal year 2022. Juror Sidney Fontenot, who made the nominating motion for Vidrine, told Williams, “I found you have done a very good job over the past four years.
