Staff Report The Boggy Bayou Youth and Queens Pageant will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022, at The Sherman Place Event Venue in Ville Platte. Doors will open at 8 a.m. Admission is $5. Everyone pays except the contestant. Children ages 4 and under are free.

Staff Report The Evangeline Parish Sheriff Departments Narcotics Unit, on Wednesday, March 16, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Main Street in Ville Platte. Upon coming into contact with the driver and passenger, agents could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle.
