Evangeline Parish voters went to the polls on Saturday, March 26, and shot down to tax rededication propositions.
The first proposition to rededicate .62 mills from the library for the purpose of constructing, acquiring, improving, operating and maintaining law enforcement facilities and criminal justice operations in the parish failed 1,666 votes (66%) to 873 (34%).
