In-lieu tax proposition passes at polls

By: TONY MARKS Editor Voters in the Ward 5 Fire Protection District overwhelmingly passed an in-lieu millage proposition at the polls on Saturday, April 27. The proposition passed with 149 of the 205 of the votes (73%) cast being in the affirmative. There were 56 no votes (27%).

EPSO implements a new program to support persons on the autism spectrum

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office, on April 26, began the Autism Safety Program. This program will require a person with an autism spectrum disorder to obtain a written diagnoses from their doctor on letterhead.
