Voters in the Ward 5 Fire Protection District overwhelmingly passed an in-lieu millage proposition at the polls on Saturday, April 27.
The proposition passed with 149 of the 205 of the votes (73%) cast being in the affirmative. There were 56 no votes (27%).
Unofficial turnout was 8%.
