Brand new District Judge Laura Rougeau Garcille, originally of Chataignier, cited her faith, family and friends as pillars of support in her life leading to her judgeship.
A 30-minute swearing-in ceremony for Garcille was held Wednesday, April 24, at the St. Landry Parish Courthouse in Opelousas.
