LAFAYETTE — The University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s Spring 2021 graduates might well be remembered as a class of record setters. The 1,892 degrees are the second most ever awarded for a single semester.

ALEXANDRIA – Louisiana State University of Alexandria is proud to announce the Chancellor’s List and Dean’s List for Spring 2021. Students who are enrolled full time with a minimum of 12 hours and a GPA of 3.5 or higher are eligible for the Dean’s List.

BATON ROUGE — The Cajun “holy trinity” is at the heart of Louisiana cuisine. The union of onions, celery and green bell peppers create the base flavors of gumbo, jambalaya, etouffee and numerous other hearty dishes that have come to define our state.

Bertrand crowned 36th Boggy Bayou Queen; McElfresh awarded Ms. title

The Boggy Bayou Festival now has new royalty after a pageant was held during past weekend’s two-day event held at the festival grounds north of Pine Prairie. Crowned this year’s Miss Boggy Bayou was 17-year-old Halle Grace Bertrand. She is the daughter of Mark and Rhonda Bertrand of Pine Prairie.
