Hospice care is compassionate-centered care for individuals who are facing end of life. Hospice care involves medical care, pain management and emotional and spiritual support for the patient. It also provides support for the family to help them with dealing with their loved one’s final phase of life.
Some people are not aware a patient can be on hospice care in a long-term care facility. Hospice will work hand in hand with the staff and nurses in a long-term care facility to provide care for your love one if you are unable to care for them at home. In turn, your loved one receiving hospice care will have both services available to them.
Speak to your physician to find out more information on hospice care or call our facility to speak with our admission coordinator.
