Meeting set for Brownfields Community Assessment

The City of Ville Platte announced it will host, in conjunction with Acadiana Planning Commission, a community meeting as a part of its current Brownfields Community Assessment Initiative on Wednesday, August 7, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Ville Platte City Hall.

WBR crash claims life of Mamou resident

Port Allen – Shortly before 3:00 a.m. on June 29, 2024, Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop A responded to a two-vehicle crash on LA 415 near Commercial Drive in West Baton Rouge Parish. The crash claimed the life of 20-year-old Jada Bergeron of Mamou.
