Part of three gold medal-winning Olympic teams and four WNBA title teams. Was on the cover of Sports Illustrated for Women as a high school freshman. Pedestrian Killed in Evangeline Parish Crash

Mamou – On June 8, 2024, shortly before midnight, Louisiana State Police Troop I began investigating a single-vehicle fatality crash involving a pedestrian on Louisiana Highway 104 near Studio Lane. The crash claimed the life of 63-year-old Sharron Hampshire of Ville Platte.
