There were a lot things going right for Trojans except for one thing. In Tuesday's non-district contest against visiting Grant, the Sacred Heart boys basketball team started off playing extremely well with solid ball movement and sound defense.

Prior to last Friday's contest, the Lady Bulldogs had not played an actual game since January 19th due to COVID-19 protocols. Ville Platte's first game back after nearly a month of cancellations-postponements and quarantine resulted with a 57-36 victory over District 5-3A rival Mamou.

Bulldogs remain undefeated in district with win over Panthers

With last Friday's 82-35 victory over Pine Prairie, the Ville Platte boy's basketball team improved to 3-0 in District 5-3A play.

Pine Prairie girls are unable to fend off Iota

Pine Prairie had Iota on the ropes in Tuesday’s District 5-3A contest, but the Lady Panthers were unable to knock out the Lady Bulldogs in a 54-43 overtime loss.

PINE PRAIRIE – The Pine Prairie Lady Panthers left no doubt who the better team was, as they took down the Mamou Lady Demons in grand fashion, 61-22, this past Friday night.
