PPFD receives new fire trucks

Three new fire trucks were purchased for the Pine Prairie Fire Department to replace old units. The new yellow trucks were purchased from the St. George Fire Department (outside Baton Rouge) and were delivered on Wednesday, July 14, and are pictured outside of the department.

Hilda Williams (left photo) was chosen as resident of the month for June at Heritage Manor. She is the mother of two children and has two grandchildren. She is a retired LPN and enjoys socializing with the staff and residents. She has been a resident of Heritage Manor for seven months.

Cathy McDaniel and Tina Fontenot, long-time employees with the Evangeline Parish Clerk of Court office, celebrated their retirement with a party on Wednesday, June 30. McDaniel had been employed with the office off and on for 47 years, while Fontenot worked in the office for 38 years.
