Ville Platte City Council holds reapportionment workshop

Based on the most recent census figures, three of the six council districts in Ville Platte deviated more than 5% higher or lower than the average district size of 1,051.

Evangeline Parish School Board holds reapportionment workshop

The Evangeline Parish School Board held a public reapportionment workshop to discuss moving district lines to better reflect data collected from the most recent census. Board members reviewed a plan submitted by demographer Mike Hefner and provided input on any revisions.

Cyclist rides through area to bring awareness
