The Evangeline Parish Sheriff Departments Narcotic Unit, on Monday, August 22, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation at Greenwood and Pine Point Road. The agent made contact with the occupants of the vehicle and explained the reason for the stop.

Ville Platte CPA elected chair of state CPA association

Press Release Seth Norris, CPA, a native and resident of Ville Platte, was named Chair of the Society of Louisiana CPAs (LCPA). Mr. Norris is the CFO of Cottonport Bank. An LCPA board member since 2017, Mr. Norris becomes the youngest Chair in the association's 111-year history.
