On September 15, 2022 Pine Prairie Police received information of a threat made towards the Pine Prairie High School. In conjunction with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office, an investigation is being conducted and precautions are being taken to ensure the safety and security of the campus.

Eunice man arrested for shooting at Mamou police chief

LSN Staff Reports Eunice Police arrested 18-year-old Lewis Jones for shooting at Mamou Police Chief Brent Zackery on April 12 after a chase from Mamou, according to a news release from Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot.
