MAMOU - A Mass of Christian Burial was held for Lula Fontenot Perron at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou. Father Bala Rayapati was the celebrant of the Mass, which was followed by inurnment at New St. Ann’s Cemetery.

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff Departments Narcotic Unit, on Tuesday, September 13, conducted a search warrant on residence located at 1871 Barbara Lane in the Reddell area. Agents entered the residence and detained three people without incident.
