LHC and USDA tour to visit Mamou and Ville Platte

Partnerships that Build Community Statewide Tour, Louisiana Housing Corporation (LHC) and, USDA Rural Development (USDA) will visit Mamou and Ville Platte on Wednesday, September 21.
The first meeting for this date will be in Mamou from at 2 to 4 p.m. at Savoy Medical Center located at 801 Poinciana Avenue, and the second meeting, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., will be at the Martin Luther King Community Center located at 868 Alton Locks Street in Ville Platte.
LHC Executive Director Joshua G. Hollins and USDA Rural Development State Director Deidre Deculus Robert are the driving leadership forces for this experience. The vision and purpose behind this event is to ultimately strengthen partnerships with these agencies and, allow their respective leaders to share and collaborate information about available programs for new housing developments, existing housing restorations, community facilities, small businesses, rural community development and more.
This is an accelerating step for these areas and, it will be rewarding to have state and federal officials interested in developing and providing programs that will be beneficial for the residents of this area.
