Cooped up residents of Evangeline and surrounding parishes can still enjoy the sights and sounds of nature by going to Crooked Creek Recreational Park, but there are restrictions.

Curfew is announced for Ville Platte

Sunday, Ville Platte Mayor Jennifer Vidrine announced a city-wide curfew, effective March 30 for adults, minors, and businesses until further notice. The curfew will be from 9:00 p.m.

On March 20, 2020 at approximately 12:30 a.m. Officers responded to a tip that two white males were attempting to break into vehicles in a car lot in the 2000 block of East Main Street.
