Mayor Jennifer Vidrine announced the city is ready to receive bids from companies to clean the city’s canals. The deadline for accepting the quotes is December 22. The canal cleaning will be paid using the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds. The funds spent to clean canals on state roads such as Main Street and LaSalle Street, will be reimbursed by DOTD.
