LSP makes arrest for possession of child sexual abuse material and narcotics

MAMOU - On July 31, the Louisiana State Police Special Victim’s Unit (LSP SVU) arrested an individual on charges related to the possession of child sexual abuse material and narcotics. The investigation resulted in the arrest of 42-year-old Trevor Matthews Sr., of Mamou.

ELUSE KEITH LATOUR

Eluse Keith LaTour, of Chataignier, passed away on July 30, 2024, at the age of 76 after suffering from Parkinson’s disease. A memorial service will be held at Chene Verte at a later date. Keith was the owner of USA Aircraft Brokers. He was a pilot and taught flying lessons.

The Evangeline Community Action Agency Inc. is announcing the availability of funds dedicated to assist eligible low income households with their energy payments. All applications are taken on a first come, first served basis. Calls will begin to be taken on Monday, August 12, from 9 a.m.
