Following the resignation of Brittany Guillory as chief of police in Turkey Creek, the village council, during a special meeting held Thursday, August 1, voted to name Travis Basco as acting chief.
Voting in favor of Mayor Bert Campbell’s recommendation were Councilmen Neal King and Jessie Johnson. Councilman Eric Chapelle abstained.
