In Isaiah 31:1 (KJV), the prophet Isaiah warned God’s people not to look to Egypt for help, but to trust the Lord to defend Jerusalem against the Assyrians. The real source of Israel’s difficulty was they did not look to God, nor did they seek Him. Instead, they turned to an outside source.
