Escaped inmate is in custody

Through combined efforts between the Mamou Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Western District of Louisiana Violent Offender Task Force, Dorian Thomas, an escaped inmate, is back in custody.

Narcotic agents, on January 23, were conducting criminal patrols in the Town of Mamou, specifically traveling down Mulberry Street, when they observed a male subject, identified as Leroy Moses, who was known to have active warrants through the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Juvenile is arrested for ATV theft

The business owner of R & T Towing, on December 8, reported several unknown suspects gained entry into his tow yard and had stolen two ATVs that were impounded for an unrelated incident on a previous date.

EPSO gains aerial assistance with drone
