Att. murder suspect is arrested

A suspect wanted in connection with an attempted murder in Mamou was arrested by the Mamou Police Department on February 19. Kelsey Rochelle Mallet, 25 years old, of Port Barre, is charged with attempted first degree murder and is being held on a $750 thousand bond.

Ville Platte Police arrests murder suspect

According to Ville Platte Chief of Police Al Perry Thomas, on February 6, officers with his department responded to several shots being fired on the east side of the city. Officers were given a description of the suspect’s vehicle, which was a silver Impala that was occupied by four male subjects.
