VPPD is looking for missing person

The Ville Platte Police is asking for the community’s help in locating Keabreonna Doucet, who was last seen June 15, 2024, when she left her home on W. Live Oak Street in Ville Platte at 9:00 a.m. She was supposed to bring her daughter to a basketball game at 10:00 a.m.

EPSO reports recent narcotic arrests, citations

On April 19, 2024 Narcotic Agents with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office was conducting surveillance in and around 900 block of within the city limits of Mamou, when Narcotic Agents observed a blue in color Dodge Truck Drive up the residence parallel to the mailbox located on Balfa Brothers St.

Pedestrian Killed in Evangeline Parish Crash

Mamou – On June 8, 2024, shortly before midnight, Louisiana State Police Troop I began investigating a single-vehicle fatality crash involving a pedestrian on Louisiana Highway 104 near Studio Lane. The crash claimed the life of 63-year-old Sharron Hampshire of Ville Platte.

Arrest is made for attempted murder in VP

Chief Al Perry Thomas reported on the afternoon of May 31, Sgt. Darrian Guillory, with the Ville Platte Police Department, responded to a call in reference to a man being shot on MLK Street. Sgt. Guillory noticed the victim was shot in his left arm. Once he was taken away by the ambulance, Sgt.

Suspect leads deputies on pursuit

Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office releases the following: On June 6, 2024 at approximately 2:05 pm Deputies with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office initiated a pursuit at mile marker 45 North on Interstate I49 in Evangeline Parish.

Deshotel is arrested for child pornography

On May 24 th , 2024 Pine Prairie Police received a complaint in reference to indecent behavior with a juvenile. Upon investigation, suspect Dillon Deshotel (25 years old of Pine Prairie), acted in an inappropriate manor with a juvenile.
