Ray Charles Fontenot, Jr., age 33, was indicted on the charge of second degree murder for the death of Brittany Guillory Fontenot on Wednesday, March 26. The charge stems from an incident which occurred on or about April 13, 2023. Arraignment on this case is set for May 5.

On April 13, 2023, Deputies were dispatched to L’anse Aux Pailles Rd. in reference to an alleged suicide as reported by the deceased’s husband.
