By: TONY MARKS Editor By almost a two vote to one difference, Shane Guillory was elected chief of police in Pine Prairie after a runoff election was held on Saturday, December 7. Guillory received 68% of the vote over his challenger, Gilbert J. Bordelon, who received 32% of the vote.

Unrestrained is driver killed in two-vehicle crash

EVANGELINE PARISH - Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop I responded to a crash that killed an unrestrained driver. On November 28, shortly after 12 a.m., troopers were notified of a two-vehicle fatality crash on Louisiana Highway 13 near Gradney Lane.
