By: TONY MARKS Editor NATCHITOCHES- On a windy day, with gusts reaching in the double digits, student athletes from the around the state caught their second wind and were able to finish the race among the top 3 in each division at the LHSAA Cross Country State Meet.

Early voting for the December 5, election will begin Friday, November 22, and end on Saturday, November 30. Early voting will not be conducted on, Sunday, November 24, and Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29.

A new welcome sign for the City of Ville Platte was unveiled on Friday, November 8. The new sign is located at the eastern entrance of the city in front of the Tobacco Plus location and was purchased through a grant from the Evangeline Parish Tourist Commission.
