Tri-Parish workforce down 241 in September

The Tri-Parish workforce drop by 241 people in September compared to September 2023, according to statistics released by the Louisiana Workforce Commission on Tuesday. The September workforce totaled 67,496, down from 67,737 in September 2023.

Evangeline Parish Sheriff Charles R. Guillory was inducted into the Louisiana First Responders Christian Association Hall of Fame on Friday, October 25. It was a recognition from the Association for his hard work, and dedication as a leader in the field.

By: TONY MARKS Editor As of the close of business Thursday, October 24, 2,720 early votes were cast at the Evangeline Parish Registrar of Voters Office. Of the total, 2,243 were white and 442 were Black; 1,276 were male and 1,444 were female; 947 were Democrat and 1,432 were Republican.
