By: TONY MARKS Editor VILLE PLATTE - Sacred Heart and Oakdale were two teams trending in opposite directions following their respective jamborees. The Trojans fell 14-7 against Iota, and Oakdale pulled off a pair of 7-0 wins against Kinder and Oberlin.

Bulldogs cannot withstand Vikings

By: TONY MARKS Editor Two players from Ville Platte High School went for over 100 yards of offense in the season opener against Northside, but it was not enough as the Bulldogs fell 39-14 against the Vikings. Ville Platte’s running back Montagon Dixon ran 16 times for 112 yards and a touchdown.

By: TONY MARKS Editor MAMOU - The Mamou Green Demons scored 44 first half points on their way to a 58-0 win over Bolton Academy on a Thursday night when the skies opened and heavy rain fell. New head coach Laquintin Lamb said it was a good feeling to get the first win under his belt.
