By: TONY MARKS Editor IOTA - Coming off a 60-6 win that snapped a 23-game losing streak was the Pine Prairie football team as it began district play last Friday night against a physical Iota team.

District opener goes south for Mamou

By: SYLIS MANUEL Staff Reporter The Church Point Bears staved off a second half surge from the Mamou Green Demons, pulling out a 42-26 victory in a back and forth thriller that was closer than the score suggested. Church Point improved to 3-1 on the season and 1-0 in divisional play.

Registration is held for Flea Fly Football

Registration for Flea Fly Football began on Monday, September 23, at the Ville Platte Lions Club Den. On Sunday, October 13, the players and cheerleaders will ride on the fire trucks in the Cotton Festival parade. Everyone will meet at Investar Bank at 11:15 a.m. to ride on the trucks.
