Pine Prairie squeezes past Iota 33-30

PINE PRAIRIE- The Pine Prairie Lady Panthers faced the Iota Lady Dogs here Wednesday night in a back and forth shootout, with the Lady Panthers coming out on top 33-30 in the two teams’ first district contest of the year.

2018 FBS Bowl Season set

The 2018 FBS Bowl season will be getting underway this coming Saturday and four teams from Louisiana will be represented in those contests. One of the starting games that will kick-off bowl mania features two teams from the Bayou State.

VILLE PLATTE – A historical afternoon for the Pine Prairie Lady Panthers turned routine for the Ville Platte Bulldogs as the two teams went undefeated to take home the title of Evangeline Parish Tournament champions here this past Saturday.

VILLE PLATTE – The quest for the 2018 Evangeline Parish hardcourt title began with a slate of four games here Wednesday afternoon. The annual tourney scheduled to be played in Mamou was moved to Sacred Heart due to unresolved renovations to the Green Demon gymnasium.

Reaping the rewards

PINE PRAIRIE -- The Pine Prairie Lady Panthers used a strong third quarter to slip past the Ville Platte Lady Bulldogs 62-50 in a non-district contest here Tuesday night. With the win, Pine Prairie improves to 2-5 on the season.
