By: RHETT MANUEL Sports Editor METAIRIE — It had to happen at some point. We knew there would be a day where Sean Payton would no longer be coaching the New Orleans Saints. Yet, as veteran players report to training camp this Tuesday, it’ll be under unique circumstances for the franchise.

By: RHETT MANUEL Sports Editor PINE PRAIRIE — The Ville Platte Majors All-Stars wrapped up a perfect weekend at the district tournament, going 4-0 and outscoring opponents 65-2 to win the district title and qualify for the state tournament in Metairie. Results were never in doubt.
