It’s hard not to love Louisiana

Whether you’ve lived here or visited here, it’s impossible to not fall in love with at least some aspects of the state. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow used it as a setting for his epic poem Evangeline (partially my daughter’s namesake.) It’s been the setting for many films over the years, as well.

By: TONY MARKS Editor With a total weight of 24.9 pounds, the Pine Prairie High School anglers finished in second place at the state tournament held at Toledo Bend. Grant High School won the tournament with a weight of 27.3 pounds.

By: RHETT MANUEL Sports Editor ALEXANDRIA – Former Pine Prairie High School baseball standout Jordan Ardoin has maximized his opportunity to play college baseball for LSU-Alexandria. The Generals, who play at the NAIA level, compiled a 33-14 regular season record.
