ALEXANDRIA -- Three players scored in double figures Tuesday night to help the Pine Prairie Lady Panthers thrash the Bolton Lady Bears 51-19 in non-district action.
The win continues a four game win streak for Pine Prairie and extends the Lady Panthers’ record to 5-3. Pine Prairie is scheduled to take on the St. Edmund Lady Blue Jays in Eunice tonight. Game time is slated for 6 p.m.
It did not take long for the Lady Panthers to establish their dominance over the Lady Bears, as Pine Prairie took an 18-3 lead after the first quarter of play.
The second period did not see much in the way of offense for either team, as the Lady Panthers could only muster nine total points. Bolton was no better, countering with only six points of their own.
The third quarter mirrored the first quarter in many respects. By the time the period had ended Pine Prairie had outscored the Lady Bears 17-7 to take a commanding 44-16 lead.
Asia George led the way with 13 points, while Brashaylan Doucet and Kameron Allen added 10 and 11 points respectfully.
