Pine Prairie’s softball season comes to an end

The No. 11-seeded Pine Prairie softball team had its season ended on a sour note Wednesday, never finding itself in a 12-3 loss to No. 6 Lutcher in the second-round of the Class 3A playoffs
The Lady Panthers took a 2-1 lead in the third inning behind Maycie Hardy and Brianna Wall RBI hits.

However, freshman pitcher Ava Kordish ran into rough sledding after being brilliant in the first-round playoff win over Erath. Pine Prairie gave up 10 runs in the fourth inning alone, with Kordish and Wall splitting the time in the circle in that disastrous frame.
Wall went 2-for-3 in the game to pace the Lady Panthers’ offense, while Pine Prairie struggled to keep up with the 12 hits Lutcher put up.
