Sacred Heart senior catcher Alex McElwee was recently selected to the Louisiana Baseball Coaches’ Association Region 5 All-Region team as a utility player.
Region 5 encompasses St. Landry, Evangeline, Allen, Acadia and Pointe Coupee parishes. McElwee is the only member of the team that resides in Evangeline Parish.
