A grand opening/ribbon cutting was held Saturday, February 1, for Gaga’s General Store, in the Beaver community. It was a great and beautiful sunny day for the occasion with a crowd of over 250 people, which made it a wonderful day for the new owners.

Ashley Gorrell of Baton Rouge, a former Queen Cotton contestant, recently represented Evangeline Parish at the Louisiana Fur and Wildlife Festival Pageant held Saturday, December 28, in Cameron Parish. After being crowned queen, Gorell posed with Cotton Festival Pageant Director Katelyn Calhoun.
