A retirement ceremony for Sacred Heart Elementary Principal Virginia Morein was held inside Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church on Thursday, September 7. During the ceremony, members from each class presented Morein with yellow roses. Also, students and staff members shared their fond memories of Morein’s nine years as principal. Morein was presented with gifts as well. One of the gifts was an art project in the shape of a cross made by the students’ thumb prints. Another gift was a sign to be hung on door of the school’s library, which is now dedicated to Morein.
