Mamou Junior High held a Red Ribbon Rally on Thursday, October 26, as part of Red Ribbon Week. The event was held in conjunction with Krewe de Evangeline Coalition, which, according to its Website, includes approximately 20 non-profit organizations, state agencies, local municipal governments, and businesses which serve the needs of children and youth in Evangeline Parish. The parish has been identified as one of 10 high need parishes in the state to address the priorities of underage drinking, prescription drug misuse/abuse, and depression.
