Planters presented to Mamou elder living facilities

On Friday, May 19, members of the Mamou Police Department delivered planter boxes to Savoy Care Center, Savoy Heights and Peaceful Chateau. The Mamou Rotary Club spearheaded the idea for the project, and Neil Duplechain took charge in gathering donations from local businesses for lumber and other materials. Members of the police department constructed the boxes, which will be used to beautify the facilities with plants and allow residents of the facilities to have vegetable gardens. Each location received three planters.
