New mural is painted at Ville Platte city hall

Work was recently completed on a new mural painted on the side of Ville Platte city hall. The mural, painted by the Tee Cotton Bowl mural’s artist Thaddaeus Arvie, features depictions of Cajun culture, veterans, Ville Platte High School and Sacred Heart High School, Dixie Youth, Le Festival de la Viande Boucanée, and the Louisiana Cotton Festival. Arvie is pictured as he applies work to complete the mural that represents a post card. (Gazette photos by Tony Marks)
