In the top photo, the new Mamou mural painted on the side of Reed’s Pharmacy on Sixth Street is displayed. The Mamou-inspired mural was painted by artist Hannah Gumbo. In the bottom right photo is a close up of the Mamou chicken and the lyrics “Two Step Mamou,” a title to one of Cajun/Zydeco artist Wayne Toups’s most famous songs. Toups was on hand for the mural presentation.
