REJOYICE MATTHEW THOMAS

Rejoyice, who loved to be called ‘Momma’ by her children, Maw Maw or Mamou Maw Maw by her grandkids, Aunt Joy by her nieces/nephews, and Mother Rejoyice to many in the community, departed her loving family at her home at the age of 99 years old.

WHITEVILLE - Funeral services for Mr. Tony Guy Whaley, 74, were held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the Church of the Resurrection in Whiteville. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Tony, a resident of Whiteville, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at his residence.

VILLE PLATTE – A Mass of Christian Burial was held for Heath Anthony Fontenot at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 4, 2023, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Burial followed in the Belaire Cove Cemetery. Father Alex Lançon officiated the services.

ANGELA SOILEAU CHAUVIN

Angela Soileau Chauvin, native of Ville Platte and resident of New Orleans, passed away on August 15, 2023, at the age of 65. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Angela loved being with her family and watching the Saints and LSU.
