Anna Lee Guillory LeBleu, born on July 17, 1934, in Platin, passed away peacefully in Ville Platte, on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at the age of 90. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 10 a.m.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, for Leona Mary “Lee” Mayeux, 85, who passed away August 13, 2024. The service will be held at 1 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel in Jennings. The family is requesting visiting hours be held Saturday from 9 a.m.

RITA REED WILLIAMS

CARENCRO - Funeral services for Rita Reed Williams, 69, were held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Burial followed in the Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery.

ELUSE KEITH LATOUR

Eluse Keith LaTour, of Chataignier, passed away on July 30, 2024, at the age of 76 after suffering from Parkinson’s disease. A memorial service will be held at Chene Verte at a later date. Keith was the owner of USA Aircraft Brokers. He was a pilot and taught flying lessons.

MARY ANN JENKINS

Mary Ann Jenkins, a dedicated and beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 28, 2024, surrounded by her beloved family at the age of 81. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held today, August 1, 2024, at Our Lady, Queen of All Saints Catholic Church at 2 p.m.

Funeral services for Mr. Alfred “Sonny” Allen Oliver were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 15, 2024, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pine Prairie. Reverend Barry Gautreaux officiated. Interment followed in Campbell Cemetery, Pine Prairie, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.

JASPER WAYNE AUGUSTINE

Jasper Wayne Augustine of Cedar Park, Texas, passed away on July 8, 2024, at the age of 81. An eternal optimist, a faithful Scout leader, and a proud grandfather, Jasper was a product of Cajun Country who embodied the geniality so often associated with his adopted home state of Texas.

NITA FAYE MANUEL SOILEAU

Nita Faye Manuel Soileau passed away peacefully on June 11, 2024, surrounded by her family and loved ones. A life-long resident of Ville Platte, she was born January 5, 1955, to “Cheiko” (Fukasaka) and Donald Manuel, who preceded her in death.

Eric “Tiny” Stephen Denney, 32, of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. He was a native of Ville Platte. A memorial service to celebrate his life was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Our Lady, Queen of All Saints Catholic Church.
